National- und Ständeratswahlen für Pflanzen, Menschen und andere Tiere - Swiss Parliament Elections for plants, humans and other animals

The jay paradise has broken out here, since the chestnut tree drops its fruit. For the people, too, of course. The fruits are small, because the chestnut wasn't cultivated on big fruits, but they are very fine.

Cut in a small cross at the top, put a little water on a baking tray, put the chestnuts in (the small cross looks up), drizzle with a little water and bake them at 180 ° C for 10 minutes (or 20 minutes, if they are bigger). Yummy.

Next to it, the red maple tries to reach a bit of normality in the autumn. But he succeeds only in the few leaves. I logged the development by camera from 27.09. until 20.10.19. Last photo 2014. I have not seen him like that since then.

In yesterday's elections in Swiss parliament (National and Council of States), the Greens and the Green Liberals were able to achieve massive seat gains. And that, although only 45.1% of the voters voted. At last. I'm waiting for that since the mid-80s. Let us hope that majorities can be formed that actually act instead of producing only beautiful words and hot air.

That next to the most unspeakable right-wing SVP (Correction, not - 11, but - 12 seats !! - Yeah) also the Social Democrats lost five seats, should make to think about many facts to the ladies and gentlemen in the guidance. In addition to the Greens I still vote for them, too, but meanwhile they are long way from my everyday life and their former voters, the labour force.
