Das hat ja nicht ganz so geklappt mit den kurzen oder Kürzesttexten. Aber es ist ok. Die gröbsten Arbeiten im Frühlings- und Frühsommergarten sind geschafft. Also jene, bei denen ich mit meinem jungen Gartenhelfer zu Rande kam. Und bei den anderen kann ich eh selber nichts machen. Geländedruck, Erde, die sich deswegen offensichtlich ruckartig bewegt. Sichtbar v.a. am Teich, der sich nach unten senkt und dadurch nicht mehr richtig gefüllt werden kann. Geländeabsicherung wie Mauern, die ins Rutschen kommen bzw. die eine, die im Garteninneren schon ins Gemüsebeet abgestürzt ist.
Da ging ich nachts um halb elf zum Glück nochmals in den Garten. Auf Schneckenpatrouille. (1 1/2 Stunden zuvor war ich rausgegangen.) Und fand den Teich so vor. Diese Stelle war im März noch ca. 12 cm unter Wasser. Jetzt kann ich den Teich so auffüllen, dass sie noch ca. 2 cm unter Wasser ist. Wenn möglich will ich den Teich über den Sommer retten. Es sind noch die Jungen der Erdkröte drin. Zum Teil haben sie jetzt Hinterbeine, manche noch nicht und andere sind voll ausgebildet und spazieren ca. 2 cm gross aus dem Teich. Im Teich leben neben Bergmolchen auch Wasserschnecken und Libellenlarven. Diese Biodiversität möchte ich erhalten.

Fortunately, at half past ten at night I went into the garden again. On snail patrol. (I had gone out of the garden 1 1/2 hours earlier.) And found the pond like this. There are still the cubs of the common toad in there. Some of them now have hind legs, some not yet and others are fully developed and walk about 2 cm out of the pond. Among water snails and mountain newts also dragonfly larva life in the pond. You see, I'd like to preserve this biodiversity.

Für die Sanierung - sagen manche - sollen die Pächter*innen zuständig sein. Da muss ich doch laut lachen. Kostenfaktor ca. 20'000 Franken. Das würde ich nicht mal
mehr ausgeben, wenn ich es hätte. Das habe ich einmal für einen Garten, der zu einem gemieteten Häuschen gehörte gemacht. Damals waren es 10'000 Franken. Und es wäre Sache der Vermieterin
gewesen, den Garten zu sanieren. Sie habe halt gedacht, ich würde das schon machen. Und ging davon aus, dass sie mir nichts davon rückerstatten müsse. Was juristisch ja in Ordnung war.
Menschlich jedoch trist.

It didn't quite work out so well with the short and shortest texts. But it's OK. The roughest work in the spring and early summer garden is done. In other words, those where I could cope with my young gardening helper. And with the others I can't do anything myself anyway. Terrain pressure, earth, which is obviously moving jerkily downhill because of it. Visible especially on the pond, which sinks down on the lower side and can therefore no longer be filled properly. Terrain protection such as walls that slide or the smaller one in midst the garden that has already crashed into the vegetable patch inside the garden.
Some say that the tenants should be responsible for the renovation. I had to laugh out loud. Cost factor around 20,000 francs. I wouldn't even spend that anymore if I had it. I did that once for a garden that belonged to a rented small house. At that time it was 10,000 francs. And it would have been up to the landlady to renovate the garden. She just thought I would do it, she said later on. And assumed that she wouldn't have to reimburse me for any of it. Which was legally okay. Humanly, however, to be forbidden.
Mit der Qualität der Fotos bin ich nicht wirklich glücklich, es sind halt Handyfotos. Die Spiegelreflex muss noch zu Hause bleiben, bis die Muckis Gartenarbeit und schwere Kamera im selben Rundgang schaffen.

I'm not really happy with the quality of the photos, they are cell phone photos. The DSLR still has to stay at home until the muscles manage gardening and heavy camera in the same tour.
