Ersehnter Regen. Die Erde war stark ausgetrocknet, als hätte es die paar Regentage vorletzte Woche nicht gegeben.
Welcome rain. The earth was very dry, as if the couple of rainy days the week before hadn't happened.
Gartenbilder
1 und 2: Die Pracht des Vergissmeinnicht- und Hahnenfussfeldes gehört der Vergangenheit an. Mais und Bohnen fürs Aztekenbeet sind schon mal gesät. Auch eine Reihe Karotten mit Zwiebeln durchmischt. Anderes wird folgen. Das Gemüsebeet sieht auf dem Foto sehr klein aus. Aber zwei starke, junge Menschen haben drei Stunden gearbeitet, um es frei zu bekommen.
3: Blick zwischen den Himbeeren hindurch. Wenn die Bedingungen günstig bleiben, wird die Ernte so ergiebig werden wie 2018.
4: Hier kommen in Mischkulturreihen Radieschen, Lattich (-Reihe), Rüebli (B-Reihe), Hirschzungensalat/ Pflücksalat (C-Reihe), Lupinen (A-Reihe). Die A-Reihen für
Tomaten, Gurken und Zuckererbsen (Kefen) sind noch leer.
Und natürlich dürfen überall dazwischen Kräuter und Blumen wachsen.
Für den Körper war die gestrige Gartenaktion eine völlige Überforderung. Es war dermassen heiss auf dem Platz und ich so geschwächt, dass ich nach zwei Metern Erde lockern für eine halbe Reihe Mais und Bohnen kurz vor dem Kollaps stand bzw. kniete. Nach Stunden hatte ich drei solche Reihen Mais und Bohnen und die eine Reihe Rüebli mit Zwiebeln bereit. Aber was für eine Zufriedenheit.

Garden pictures:
The splendour of the forget-me-not and cocksfoot field is a thing of the past. Corn and beans for the Aztec bed are sown. Also a row of carrots mixed with onions. More seed and plants will follow. It looks very small. But two strong, young people worked three hours each, to remove the plants, who mustn't be there during growing season of vegetables.
3: View through the raspberry row. If conditions remain favourable, the harvest will be as fruitful as in 2018.
4: Here will grow in strip cultivation:
Radishes, lettuce (strip C), carrots (strip B), so called Hirschzungen-salad / leave lettuce (strip C, lupine (strip A). The A strips for tomatoes, cucumbers and sugar peas are still empty.
And of course herbs and flowers will be allowed to grow anywhere in between.
Yesterday's garden action was a complete overwhelming task for the body. It was so hot on the square and I so terrible weak, that after loosening five meters of soil for the corn and beans, just was before collapsing. After hours I had three such rows of corn and beans and one row of carrots with onions. But what a satisfaction.
